Dear Friends in the Northwest
This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday, when many of us will be participating in Acts of Remembrance in our own communities. In Ullapool, there will be a said Eucharist in St Mary’s at 9.00 a.m. followed by the community Service of Remembrance in the Church of Scotland at 10.00 a.m., and then the act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 10.55 a.m.
Next Sunday, which we will keep as Bible Sunday, there will be services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie.
The monthly Bible Study Group will meet on Monday 9th November at 5.00 p.m. at Joy’s house. The group will be continuing to look at the shorter letters of the New Testament.
As some of you may be aware, although I have not seen much publicity, the United Nations Climate Conference, COP 31, takes place in Antalya, Turkey, from 9th -20th November 2026. EcoCongregation Scotland are offering a thought and prayer for each day of the conference, as well as links to other related resources. These can be found at: https://ecocongregationscotland.org/cop31-anatalya-100-words-today/ – scroll down the page to find the daily links.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
