Dear Friends in the Northwest
This Sunday is the twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost. There is a service in Ullapool to which we are delighted to welcome Bishop Mark to preach and preside. The service is followed by lunch.
Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. There will be a said Eucharist in Ullapool at 9.00 a.m. followed by the community Service of Remembrance in the Church of Scotland at 9.45 a.m., and then the act of Remembrance at the War Memorial. Other communities will have their own Remembrance Sunday events, the arrangements for which I am sure you will be aware of.
The next meeting of the monthly Bible study group, looking at Parables, will be on Monday 13th November at 5.00p.m. at Joy’s house.
The next date for Green Screen is Thursday 23rd November – more details to follow later.
A member of one of our congregations has shared with me a link to the Sanctuary Foundation who helped in providing homes in the UK for Ukrainian refugees. The are now ascertain whether people might be prepared to host Palestinian refugees. If this is something that you are interested in, please contact me for further details.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
