Dear Friends in the Northwest
This Sunday is the third Sunday in Lent. This Sunday, there will be the usual morning service in Ullapool, followed by sung Evensong at 3.00 p.m., also in Ullapool.
Our Lent course this year, entitled A Christian Look at the Environment, continues this Sunday, and on Sundays 10th and 17th March, at 11.30 a.m. in St Mary’s. We will finish by 12.30 p.m. If you are unable to attend but would like to receive the materials, please let me know.
The St Mary’s Environmental Group has produced the next edition of its newsletter to keep us up to date with issues and events. It has been sent to the St Mary’s congregation and can also be found on our website www.nwcharge.org in the News & Notices Section. If you don’t have access to the website and would like me to send you a paper copy, please ask.
The next meeting of the monthly Bible Study group is on Monday 11th March at 5.00 pm at Joy’s house. We are following a series of studies on the Holy Spirit.
The Bishop’s Lent Appeal this year is supporting communities in South Sudan and specifically contributing to the development of facilities at the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Training Centre. If you would like to contribute, please put your donation in an envelope clearly marked for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal and either give it to me or put in the offering plate at one of our services.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
