Dear Friends in the Northwest
This Sunday is the ninth Sunday after Pentecost. This Sunday and next, there will be a service in Ullapool. Next Sunday is the Feast of the Transfiguration.
Looking ahead, on Sunday 13th August, we will keep the Feast of St Mary in Ullapool, our Patronal Festival (the actual Feast Day is on 15th August). Our guest preacher on that occasion will be Canon John Cuthbert and there will be a bring and share lunch after the service. All are welcome to join us for that celebration.
As I mentioned last week, I am intending to hold another reflective walk in September, this time at the All-Abilities Path at Little Assynt. Following discussions last weekend, this will take place on Saturday 9th September meeting at 2.30 p.m. (the previous week is the annual Tractor Rally which will occupy some who might be interested and will also make the roads busy at times). A reserve date, in case of poor weather will be Saturday 30th September (I’m afraid I can’t manage 16th or 23rd). If you intend to come, it would be helpful if you would let me know so that, if the weather is such that I decide to postpone, I can let you know.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
