Dear Friends in the Northwest
This Sunday is the twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost; there will be services in Ullapool and Lochinver. Please remember to dress warmly for the Lochinver service as there is a problem with the heating in The Assynt Centre. A reminder that Kinlochbervie changes to Saturday services this month so there is not a service there this weekend. Next weekend, we will keep as All Saints Sunday with services in Kinlochbervie at 12 noon on Saturday (28th October) and in Ullapool on Sunday.
On Thursday 2nd November, there will be a service for All Souls Day in St Mary’s Ullapool at 11 a.m. This is the day on which the church remembers the vast company of the faithful departed, and especially family and friends. I should be grateful if you would let me know the names of any people you would like to be remembered at this service – anyone who is important to you can be included, they do not need to have connection with the church or this area, or to have died recently, and you do not need to be attending the service. I have the list from last year and welcome any additional names from across the charge.
Bishop Mark will be visiting Ullapool on Sunday 5th November for our service which will be followed by lunch.
The next date for Green Screen is Thursday 9th November. More details to follow later.
I would like to express my grateful thanks to Fr David for taking the services and doing everything else that was necessary during my recent holiday.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
