The Word This Week – 21st April

Dear Friends in the Northwest

This Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Easter. This Sunday, there will be services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie. Next Sunday, there will be services in Ullapool, Lochinver and Kinlochbervie.

As many of you already know, Bryn Higgs was unable to leave for Palestine last weekend to volunteer as a human rights monitordue to the incident there which meant his flight was cancelled. However, he managed to get a new flight later in the week and arrived in Hebron on Friday. Please hold Bryn, and the people of Palestine and Israel, in your prayers.

The next Green Screen film, Seeds of Vandana Shiva, is on Thursday 8th May in partnership with Ulluminate and Scottish Climate Action Network. More details nearer the time.

Another Reflective Walk is planned for the afternoon of Saturday 25th May at the All Abilities Path in Assynt. If you are thinking of coming along, let me know beforehand so I can let you know if we decide to postpone due to poor weather.

This week, I have sent £345 from the North West Charge to the diocese for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal, supporting communities in South Sudan and specifically the development of facilities at the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Training Centre. Thank you all for your generosity.

With love and prayers

Rev’d Clare
