The Word This Week – 19th May

Dear Friends in the Northwest

This Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost; there will be services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie. Next Sunday is Trinity Sunday when there will be services in Ullapool, Lochinver and Kinlochbervie.

The Reflective Walk is planned for the afternoon of Saturday 25th May at the All Abilities Path in Assynt. We will meet at the All-Abilities Path Leitir Easaidh car park on the north side of the A837 (grid ref. NC172262) at 2.30 pm. It will be a very gentle walk with time to look around, appreciate the beauty around us and relate it to our lives and faith. I suggest that we each bring a picnic chair, something to drink and some food to share (not too much!) so that we can enjoy each other’s company over a picnic afterwards. It is not my intention that we should carry chairs and picnic on the walk itself! If you have not already done so and plan to come along, please let me know so I can let you know if we decide to postpone due to poor weather.

On Sunday 3rd June, there will be a service of Sung Evensong in St Mary’s Ullapool at 5.30 p.m.

Please continue to pray for Bryn as he comes towards the end of his time as a human rights observer in the West Bank.

With love and prayers

Rev’d Clare
