This Sunday is the second in Lent when there will be services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie. My thanks to Fr David who has prepared this week’s reflection. Next weekend, the third Sunday in Lent, there will be a service in Kinlochbervie on Saturday and services in Ullapool and Lochinver on Sunday.
Our Lent course this year, entitled Hope in Hard Places, produced by the Christian charity Embrace the Middle East, continues on Sunday at 11.30 a.m. in St Mary’s and will finish by 12.30 p.m. If you are unable to attend but would like to receive the materials, please let me know.
The diocese is offering a short daily reflection on the theme of ‘Prayer’ throughout Lent. These can be found at https://www.facebook.com/mrc.diocese/. The series will include contributions by several people from this Charge.
The Bishop’s Lent Appeal this year is to support The Jerusalem and Middle East Churches Association appeal for the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. More information about this is available in the News and Notices section of this website. Contributions for the Lent Appeal should be put in an envelope labelled ‘Bishop’s Lent Appeal’ and passed to me, or placed in the collection plate at one of our services, before Easter.
