The Word This Week – 14th December

Dear Friends in the Northwest

This Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent; there will be a service in Ullapool. Next Sunday, the fourth of Advent, there will be a service in Ullapool in the morning and services in both Achiltibuie and Lochinver in the afternoon at the usual times. At 5.30 p.m., there will be the traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols in Ullapool, followed by seasonal refreshments.

The third and final session of our Advent course, looking at some of the great O Antiphons of the church, traditionally used in Advent, is on Wednesdays 17th December at 11.40 a.m. in St Mary’s Ullapool. If you are unable to attend but would like the resources sent out to you, please let me know. The diocese is also producing a series of short daily reflections for Advent. Unfortunately there seems to have been a glitch putting these on the new diocesan website at https://moray.anglican.org/ . However, they are all available on the diocesan Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mrc.diocese .

Details of services across the North West Charge over the Christmas and New Year period can be found in the News and Notices section of this website. All are warmly welcome at any of our services and do please invite family, friends and neighbours to join us if they would like to do so.

With love and prayers

Rev’d Clare
