Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, alleluia!
Wishing you all a very happy and joyful Easter. We celebrate with Praise on the Pier in the Ullapool Ferry Terminal at 9.00 a.m. on Sunday, and with services of Holy Eucharist and renewal of baptismal vows in Kinlochbervie on Saturday at 12 noon, and on Sunday in Ullapool at 10.30 a.m., Achiltibuie at 1.30 p.m. and Lochinver at 4.00 p.m. Please note that most of these services are underlined because they are not at the usual times. We welcome Bishop Mark and Jane; the Bishop will be presiding and preaching at our Easter Eucharists. I look forward to seeing many of you at these services.
Next Sunday, there will be a service in Ullapool. Please note that, although it is the fourth weekend of the month, there will not be services in Kinlochbervie on Saturday and Lochinver on Sunday.
A reminder that the Bishop’s Lent Appeal this year is to support The Jerusalem and Middle East Churches Association appeal for the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. As you may have seen, this hospital was severely damaged in a missile attack last weekend. Ideally, contributions for the Lent Appeal should be made by this weekend by putting them in an envelope labelled ‘Bishop’s Lent Appeal’ and passed to me, or placed in the collection plate at one of our services. If you wish to contribute but cannot manage this deadline, please let me know and we will try to arrange to get your donation to me as quickly as possible.
Green Screen returns on Thursday 1st May at 7.30p.m. in the Ullapool Ferry Terminal with Six Inches of Soil, an inspiring film about regenerative farming through the eyes of the next generation of farmers. For anyone interested in where our food comes from, and how this is changing.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
