The Word This Week – 4th June

Dear Friends in the Northwest

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday and we welcome Ven John Green as our preacher at our morning service in Ullapool. I am also grateful to Fr John for providing this week’s reflection. On Sunday evening, there will be sung Evensong in St Mary’s Ullapool at 5.30 p.m. All are welcome to join us for this. Next Sunday is the second Sunday after Pentecost; there will be a service in Ullapool.

Having been elected to General Synod by Diocesan Synod in March, I will be away at the General Synod meeting in Edinburgh this week from Wednesday afternoon until Saturday. There are no services planned while I am away, and I will be contactable by email and phone.

On 14th May, those of us able to be in St Mary’s were privileged to hear Bryn Higgs speak about his experiences as a human rights monitor in Palestine. Now, he has kindly written a short article for us so that more people can learn about the situation there. It is enclosed with this newsletter. This is also available on the website.

With love and prayers

Rev’d Clare
