This Sunday is the second Sunday after Epiphany when there will be services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie. Next Sunday (22nd), the third after Epiphany, there will be services in Ullapool and Lochinver. Please be aware, if it affects you, that the service this month in Kinlochbervie is not for another 2 weeks (Saturday 28th January) as the fourth Saturday and the fourth Sunday fall on different weekends this month.
A reminder that St Mary’s Ullapool is collecting any unwanted calendars and diaries for use by prisoners. These should be for this year and should not contain pictures of children. Please give any donations to me or put them in the mailbox at St Mary’s.
Looking ahead, Ash Wednesday fall on 22nd February this year. Traditionally, the ashes used on Ash Wednesday are made from the previous year’s palm crosses. If you still have your palm cross from last year and would like me to burn it for this year’s ashes, please give it to me by Sunday 20th February. This may seem a long way off but I will only see some of you once between now and then.
