The Word This Week – 25th December

Dear Friends in the Northwest

Happy Christmas! Services this weekend for the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord are:

Christmas Eve 12 noon Christmas Eucharist in Kinlochbervie
3.00 pm Christmas Eucharist in Lochinver
11.30 pm Midnight Mass in Ullapool

Christmas Day 11.00 am Christmas Eucharist in Achiltibuie

I look forward to seeing you many of you at these services, and those of your family and friends who would like to join us. For those who are away with family and friends, I wish you a joyous time with them and safe journeys.

A reminder that there will not be a service on Wednesday 28th December in Ullapool.

Next Sunday, there will be the usual service in Ullapool at 10.00 a.m.

During this year, as part of discussions planning for the future of St Mary’s, there was a request for a regular Bible Study. It has been agreed that this will be a monthly event taking place on the second Monday of each month from 5.00-6.00 p.m. at Joy Garnett’s house, starting on Monday 9th January 2023. All are welcome. It would be helpful if you could let me know if you are planning to attend so we have an idea of numbers.

I have been notified that the Province is planning a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in April 2024 led by Rev’d Canon Cedric Blakey and Most Rev’d Mark Strange. Further information is available from Canon Blakey.

Wishing you all the joy and peace of the Christ-child.

With love and prayers

Rev’d Clare
