Dear Friends in the Northwest,

This Sunday is the second Sunday of Advent. This Sunday and next there will be a service in Ullapool. The Annual Congregational Meeting of St Mary’s Ullapool will take place after the service this week.

Our Advent course Candles in the Dark will continue on Wednesdays in St Mary’s Ullapool after the morning service, so just after 11.30 am.If you would like to participate in the course but are unable to attend and would like me to email or post you the materials for individual study, please let me know.

Services across the North West Charge over the Christmas and New Year period will be as follows:

Sunday 18th December 10.00 am Eucharist in Ullapool

2.30 pm Eucharist in Achiltibuie

5.30 pm Service of Nine Lessons and Carols in Ullapool

Wednesday 21st December 11.00 am Eucharist in Ullapool (followed by Advent course)

Friday 23rd December 4.00 pm Crib & Christingle service in Ullapool

Christmas Eve 12 noon Christmas Eucharist in Kinlochbervie

3.00 pm Christmas Eucharist in Lochinver

11.30 pm Midnight Mass in Ullapool

Christmas Day 11.00 am Christmas Eucharist in Achiltibuie

(no Wednesday service on 28th)

Sunday 1st January 10.00 Eucharist in Ullapool

All are warmly welcome at any of these services and do please invite family, friends and neighbours to join us if they would like to do so.

I have been notified of a day of activities, devotion and reflection on The Stem of Jesse,for all ages, to celebrate the Immaculate Conception. It is on Saturday 10th December at St Ninian’s, Invergordon from 10.30am to 3.30pm (bring your own lunch). Further details from Fr Simon Scott.
