Dear Friends in the Northwest,
This Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King. We welcome Bishop Mark and Jane; Bishop Mark will be preaching and presiding at our service in Ullapool on Sunday morning, at which Silas and Caleb Brown will be baptised, and in the afternoon at Achiltibuie.
Next weekend marks the beginning of Advent. There will be services at Kinlochbervie on Saturday at 12 noon (The Ceilidh House), and on Sunday at 10am in Ullapool and at 2.30pm in Lochinver (The Assynt Centre).
A reminder that the Annual Congregational Meeting of St Mary’s Ullapool will take place on Sunday 4th December after our usual service.
This seems something of a long shot for our area, but the Highland Foodbank is looking for additional volunteers at its centres in Tain, Alness, Invergordon and Dingwall. If anyone is able to help, they should contact Lorna Dempster at the Blythswood centre at Glebe Street in Inverness.
In case anyone is interested, I have also been reminded by Ecclesiastical Insurance that they are still running the Trust 130 scheme whereby, if you take out a new home insurance policy with them, they will donate £130 to your church.
With love and prayers
Rev’d Clare
