The Word This Week – 13th June 2021

Dear Friends in the Northwest,

Today is the Third Sunday after Pentecost and there is a service in Ullapool. Next Sunday, there are services in Ullapool and Achiltibuie.

Last week, I forgot to include that, just before I went on holiday, I received an email of thanks from the Friends of Vellore for the donation towards relief for the Covid-19 emergency in India. Thanks to all who contributed to our collection or who sent individual donations. I am sure it is a case where every little bit helps.

Helen has received an email from the Church of Scotland in Lochinver, who are organising a holiday club from 19th-23rd July for children and teens, with the following request: ‘Your congregation has been really helpful in the past, collecting items for the crafts; this year we’re needing the strong cardboard tubes from rolls of cling film or foil.’ These can be handed in at the Leisure Centre in Lochinver before 19th July. If anyone from any of the other congregations has any that they could offer, please pass them to me and I will try to ensure that they get there on time.

With love and prayers,

Rev’d Clare
